Network Driver - Is it updated

I have a Intel Core 2 Duo Asus laptop with a Intel 4965AGN WiFi Link adaptor built in.

Originally running Windows Vista 32 bit when purchased, I have performed a clean install of Windows 10 1909 x64 and recently (last couple of weeks) updated to 2004 when Windows Update advised the May 2020 update was ready for this machine.

I am doing some Zoom sessions usually lasting around an hour which were fine under 1909.

Under 2004 I get about 40 minutes through the Zoom session and then get a blue screen crash concerning the file Netwvl64.sys (or similar file name) located under Windows\System32\Drivers.

I suspect this crash would occur under other applications or intensive downloads also, but currently the Zoom is probably making the most intensive and longest lasting download for what I am currently using the laptop for.

I wanted to ask:
I ran the latest 3DPNet which updated just that one file mentioned for the WiFi driver.
Checking in Device Manager the version number and date of the driver for that file is unchanged.
However when I find the file in Explorer the date stamp on when that file is created matches the date/time of running 3DPNet on the WiFi driver.

So curious as to what has actually changed and how the file can be updated with the version number remaining exactly the same?

And assuming it is correct this file has now been updated can I expect the blue screens and any other problems related to this file have been resolved?

I have done some searches on this adaptor and read various results in which people have had trouble such as Blue Screens and other issues with this adaptor under x64 Windows 10. A few have claimed to get an update and solved these issues but if 3DPNet has resolved it this is the first that has worked for me.

I am looking out for some feedback to this before I next try this laptop on Zoom or other intensive downloads.

Thanks
